EXIM Direct Loans:

Supply all your products and commodities through USDA and EXIM BANK

EXIM Direct Loans provide:

Financing for international buyers of U.S. goods and services.

No limit on transaction size.

Fixed rate financing with interest rate set at the Commercial Interest Reference Rate (CIRR).

100% coverage of commercial and political risks.

Financing up to 30% of local costs in addition to US exports.

Financing of services and ancillary costs, such as finance, legal or lender fees.

 

Eligibility criteria

EXIM only funds US content. Please see the content policy for more information.

EXIM can do business in most markets. However, the agency may be limited or unable to offer financing in certain countries and under certain conditions. (See Country Limitation Appendix)

EXIM cannot support exports of military or defense products and services (with some exceptions), or purchases by military buyers. (See Military Policy)

All direct loans are subject to U.S. flag shipping requirements. (See Shipping Policy - MARAD)

Products must be shipped from the United States to a foreign buyer.

There is no minimum or maximum limit on the size of export sale that can be financed by EXIM Direct Loan.

EXIM Direct Loans to International Buyers are typically used to finance purchases of capital goods and services in the United States. Before approving certain transactions, EXIM will consider the economic impact of a particular transaction (see Economic Impact Policies) and the environmental effects (see Environmental Policies).

Blanket

Coverage is available for medium and long term transactions.

The total level of EXIM support will be the lesser of 85% of the value of all eligible goods and services in the U.S. supply contract or 100% of the U.S. content of all eligible goods and services in the U.S. supply contract.
